The Eastern Coast The Eastern Coast in El Salvador is our best-kept secret. During the war, this territory stayed undeveloped as it was considered guerilla territory. Nowadays, peace is back on surfing paradise, and the east coast has transformed into our new surfing frontier. With relatively empty lineups, beautiful beaches, and perfect waves, the eastern coast awaits for you with wild adventures and perfect waves. Join us, as we guide you by car or boat to the east side. The best breaks in the Eastern Coast are Las Flores and Punta Mango. Other breaks like, Punta Bongo, La Vaca, El Toro, and other secret spots can get very fun as well. Most of these spots can be accessed by car; however, AkwaTerra recommends boat trips for logistics, security and maximum water time. One gateway to the east is Jiquilisco Bay, where the Quicksilver Indies Trader anchored when they visited El Salvador. Surrounded by mangroves, islands, sea life, and scenic mountains, this place is truly magical. This is our launching point early at dawn. Within 20 minutes, you will start to see interesting beach breaks. Then you will see a series of very interesting point breaks. Regularly, we stay at Bella Vista, which is right in front of Las Flores, but we also consider Hotel Pacific Paradise, located at Cuco Beach. The hotel offers comfortable facilities and are within 20 minutes away from surf breaks, like Las Flores and La Vaca. However, some spots like Punta Mango are less accessible by land and require boat trips. The beach at Las Flores also serves as a launching point for the boat surf trips. |
