Directions to El Portezuelo
Km. 6 Antigua Calle a Ahuachapán
(HACIA CANTÓN Sn. Juan de Dios)

ENGLISH - Coming in from Sonsonate-Nahuizalco-Salcoatitan, make a left at a small park, right on the entrance of town, in front of Scotiabank. Make another left at a steep rock hill after 4 blocks. (There is a road to the right that takes you back to town, and a narrow dusty road straight ahead)
On weekends, they block the road due to the weekend food festivals. With extreme caution, you might have to go 10 meters in the other direction to be able to take that road with a "Y" shape in front of Scotiabank.

Once you are on that steep stone hill, you are 6 kms away from El Portezuelo. The name of this road is "Antigua Calle a Ahuachapan" or "Calle Real" or simply just road to El Portezuelo. Any local can give you reference to any of these three names.

On the second km. of your way up, you will see on your left side "El Beneficio El Diamante" (Coffee Mill) from Muyshondt Avila. Keep on going straight about 4 more kms towards El Portezuelo. There are a total of four steep stone hills on your way up. After the forth one, you will be about two blocks away from El Portezuelo, which will be on your right hand side.

If you are coming into Juayua from "Los Naranjos", you will circle your way around town looking for the exit towards Sonsonate, Salcoatitan, or Apaneca. When you see the bank on your left and the small park on your right, make a right onto this road. From this point on you follow the directions at the top.

SPANISH - Al entrar a Juayua (por Sonsonate, Nahuizalco, Salcoatitan), doblas a la izquierda en una calle de adoquín que esta justo enfrente al Scottiabank. (hay una fuentecita con flores y banquitas). Sigues recto como 4 cuadras y se acaba la calle de adoquín. Hacen una izquierda y empiezan a subir una gran cuesta empedrada. (a la derecha esta la ultima calle de regreso al pueblo, recto hay una calle de polvo algo angosta).

**OJO**

Los fines de semana cierran el paso debido al festival gastronómico y desvían el tráfico a la derecha, hacia el pueblo, justo antes del Scotiabank. Con mucho cuidado, siga en contra sentido como 10 metros para poder hacer la izquierda en la calle de adoquín tipo "Y".

Si se pierden pregunten por Calle Real, calle a El Portezuelo, o antigua Calle a Ahuachapan. Son 6 kilómetros hasta El Portezuelo desde la primera cuesta empedrada. Como en el km. 2, encontraran a mano izquierda el Beneficio El Diamante de Muyshondt Avila. Como 2-3 cuadras antes de llegar y justo después de la cuarta y ultima cuesta empedrada, veran el desvío para la laguna verde a su izquierda, sigues recto como 300 mts y a mano derecha verán un portón verde con dos pilares rojo naranja con el nombre Finca El Portezuelo. Antes de empezar a subir la primera cuesta, pregunten para estar seguros que van bien.

Si se vienen por los naranjos, se da la vuelta al pueblo buscando la salida para Sonsonate o Apaneca. Se llega al Scotiabank y se dobla a la derecha en la calle de adoquín. Después siga las direcciones antes mencionadas.
