La Escondida Bed & Breakfast

If you feel like spending a night or two up on the mountain, you can visit "La Escondida" B&B located in the heart of "El Portezuelo Farm" at 4500 ft. This place is ideal for spending the night; the house is well equipped with three chimneys, kitchen, refrigerator, hot water, music stereo, TV, DVD, 24 hour security personel and other amenities. The mild climate and deep silence will make you fall deep into your sleep.

Our cabin has one main suite with a private bathroom and chimney; two regular rooms with bunker beds and one full bathroom; a small room in the back with a bunk bed and a private bathroom. The lodge also has a living room, a kitchen, screened porch and a dinning room available. It can hold a maximum of 12 guests. Guests may plan on bringing their food and beverages and cook for themselves or we can provide this service with prior notice.

For those who like camping, there is a designated area between the pine trees under the stars, but keep in mind the rainy season that lasts from May until October.

AkwaTerra has access to some fine Peruvian horses and top of the line mountain bikes as well. We also have some hiking trails within the property that can lead you to geysers, cloud forests, crater lakes, waterfalls and other interesting attractions. On occasions, we might climb the nearby volcanoes as well.
