Terms and Conditions

AKWATERRA and its travel partners do not assume responsibility for those inherent risks in Adventure Travel which may cause unfortunate accidents or incidents during ordinary travel conditions. AKWATERRA will not be held responsible for injury, death, damage, loss, delay, cost, expense, or inconvenience arising from travel misfortunes beyond our control. Therefore, any form of payment or by signing this policy, I assume complete and total responsibility and release AkwaTerra of any liability against myself or anybody under my care.

Deposits:

1. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking.
2. Deposits are non-refundable but may be used towards a future trip. (Must be used within two years from date of receipt)

Payment:

1. Final Payment or the other 50% should be paid in full on or before your arrival date.
2. Forms of Payment accepted: Cash, Wire transfers, Travelers Checks, American or Salvadoran Checks.
3. Any form of payment constitutes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions stated on this policy.

Cancellation Policy:

1. Cancellation of a trip must be made with at least 30 days notice of your arrival date. In case of cancellation, a credit of 100% will be issued to be used within a two year period. If cancellation occurs with 30 days or less, half of the deposit is lost and the other half may be used within a two year period.

Travel Insurance:

1. Given the nature of adventure travel, travel insurance is strongly recommended. It has been our experience that the traveler is best served when this service is obtained within the country of origin.
2. In case of an emergency, AkwaTerra will do whatever it takes to get you to a medical center as fast and safe as possible. Any medical expenses arising from any misfortune will be covered 100% by the traveler. (myself or my insurance)

Documents:

A valid passport is necessary when traveling in this region. Visa is obtained at the point of arrival.
Airline Related Information:

1. AKWATERRA is not responsible for airline board fees or baggage policies.
2. AKWATERRA does not accept any responsibility for late arrival or non-arrival of surfboards/surfboard bags or any other luggage. In such a case, AKWATERRA will take an extra step to provide you with necessary equipment to fulfill your adventure. Extra runs to the airport are not included with the package.

Other:

1. Due to varying natural conditions, flexibility in our packages may be necessary to insure the safety of our guests. In some instances it may be necessary to substitute packages. Substitution of packages qualifies customers for a refund limited to the difference between prices. In such a case, the customer will be able to choose from our available options.
